Bangladesh,once part of India, then Pakistan and then independence in 1971.

Bangladesh is the size of New York State with 160 million people. 15% of the population is disabled. The smells of old Dhaka, the capital are suffocating, the poverty unrelenting. There are brick factories polluting the atmosphere and the working conditions for garment workers in the cities is appalling. There is  beauty to be found in the lush countryside covered with rice paddies and gentle people.
