Mozambique borders Tanzania, Zimbabwe,Malawi and South Africa
With its Mediterranean architecture, tropical fruits, turquoise colored sky and warm sunlight beaches, Mozambique seems more like a Caribbean island than an African country. The Portuguese stayed for over 400 years leaving their language and culture after independence in 1975. Bob Dylan wrote a song about Mozambique. South Africans and Europeans returned after the civil war in 1992,to take advantage of the great tourist potential. And as usual in Africa, most of the Mozambicans remain poor and hungry, keeping many aid agencies in business.
